Disclaimer: The Rangers don’t belong to me. They belong to Buena Vista Entertainment. I’m not receiving any money for this. This takes place right after “Golden Light” and is a direct continuation of that story. So, if you haven’t read that you probably won’t know what’s going on. As a matter of fact this series is getting going pretty well. So, if you haven’t started from the beginning, I’d suggest going back and doing so.
“We’ll just have to go without them.” Zack Taylor said.
“Alpha can put the Fire Dragon and the White Element Zord on remote, in case they’re needed.” Zordon said, “Go and may the Power protect you.”
“It’s Morphin’ Time!” Zack called.
Zack: “Black Earth Power!”
Kat: “Zeo Ranger 1 Pink!”
Trini: “Yellow Wind Power!”
Tanya: “Zeo Ranger 2 Yellow!”
Billy: “Blue Water Power!”
Rocky: “Zeo Ranger 3 Blue!”
Kimberly: “Pink Heart Power!”
“Adam: “Zeo Ranger 4 Green!”
David: “Zeo Ranger 5 Red!”
Trey: “Gold Ranger Power!”
The Rangers morphed and teleported out.
Up on the moon, Lord Zedd watched the Rangers.
“Two monsters,” He repeated David Trueheart’s words, “and they’re down two Rangers.”
If he could have gloated he would have. As it was he didn’t have a mouth. He turned to the humanoid dog creature standing at the door of the Winnebago.
“Finster, what happened to that genie from Malastar?” He asked.
“He’s still there.” Finster replied.
“Bring him to earth.” Zedd ordered, “I want him to work his magic on White Ranger.
Tommy Oliver glared at the pieces of his communicator. It had gone off almost continuously until he’d smashed it with one of his karate trophies. Now it lay in silent pieces.
Breaking the communicator had done nothing for Tommy’s mood. If anything, it had made him even madder. What right did they have to lie to him like that? He could have handled the truth, eventually. But people wanted to make the poor cripple feel better.
There was a flash of light and an old fashioned oil lamp appeared on his bed. The words RUB ME were written on tone side. Tommy picked it up and examined it. Having nothing better to do he rubbed it.
A large green skinned man appeared in the room. Other than the color of his skin and his size the man seemed perfectly normal. He was dressed in a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
“Thanks.” He said, “What do you wish for master?”
“Huh?” Tommy asked, “What?”
The green skinned man heaved a sigh, “Come on mortal you know how this works; you free the genie you get three wishes.”
“What’s the catch?” Tommy wanted to know.
“There’s a time period between wishes and you can’t undo any wishes.” The genie explained, “Oh, and no trying to free the genie from the lamp. I’m perfectly willing to serve the lamp. I chose this career.”
Tommy stared at the shag carpet at his feet, “I don’t deserve this. My friends would be better off without me. Genie I wish I had never been born.”
“GRANTED!!”
There was a flash of light and everything went black.
When Tommy woke up he was lying on the ground staring up at the sky. Blinking he sat up and looked around. He was in the remains of a burned down house. The sky above was dark. At first he thought it was night. Then he realized that the sky was filled with dust. What could do that? He didn’t think he wanted to know.
He stood up. It took him a minute to realize that he was standing on his own two feet. The pain was gone. He lifted one foot and then another. Then, he did a little dance.
He realized he should find out what had changed. Humming he headed out of the burnt out house and down the street. He hadn’t gotten very far when a shadowy figure stepped out in front of him.
“Halt!” The figure ordered.
Tommy halted. The figure stepped into the moonlight. Tommy’s jaw dropped. The guy was wearing the costume he’d worn when he had first become a Ranger.
“Green Ranger?” He asked.
“Obviously.” Green Ranger replied, “Why are you in a restricted area.”
“I-I didn’t realize…” Tommy began.
Green Ranger kicked him in the stomach. Tommy was completely taken by surprise he doubled over in pain.
“What’s your name human?” Green Ranger asked.
“Tommy.” Tommy hissed through the pain.
“You are part of the resistance.” It wasn’t a question, “Where is your headquarters?”
“What resistance?” Tommy asked straightening up.
Green Ranger tried to kick him again. This time Tommy was ready for him. He side stepped the oncoming foot and dropped to perform a sweep on Green Ranger’s other foot. Green Ranger fell backwards onto his butt.
“It’s Morphin’…” Tommy stopped in mid sentence.
His morphers were gone. The metal bracelets that he used to call on the White Element Power weren’t there. He took a frantic step backwards.
“You know the Rangers’ war cry,” Green Ranger commented, “but you aren’t a Ranger. I know all the Rangers.”
“I’m Thomas James Oliver, White Element Ranger.” Tommy informed him.
Green Ranger lifted his head back and laughed. Then he pulled his dragon dagger out of its scabbard. The black knife/flute seemed right in his hands.
“You’ll make great sport for my Dragonzord.” He told Tommy, “Plus, I doubt the Resistance would have use for someone who was delusional.”
“Delusional?” Tommy countered, “I’m delusional? I’m not the one attacking people in the streets.”
Green Ranger lifted the flute to his lips and began to play. He’d only played a few notes when an arrow embedded itself into his gloved hand.
“Pink Ranger.” He growled.
A moment later Pink Ranger stepped out onto the street with her Power Bow in hand. She nocked another arrow and pointed it at Green Ranger.
“Go home.” She told Tommy.
“Kimberly?” Tommy stepped towards her, “It’s me Tommy. Why are you wearing that uniform?”
She wasn’t wearing the outfit of the Pink Element Ranger. Instead she wore the uniform she’d worn when Tommy had first met her; that of the original Pink Ranger.
“I don’t know any Tommy.” She said, “And I’ve always worn this uniform.”
“I don’t exist here.” Tommy whispered to himself. Aloud he said, “I don’t have a home.”
“How touching.” Green Ranger said, “The human knows you.”
“Get lost Green boy.” Pink Ranger growled, “This guy isn’t one of the resistance. And he’s no concern of yours. Goldar and Scorpina are in charge of the human population.”
“Okay fine.” Green Ranger said, “But I’m reporting him.”
He touched his belt and teleported out.
“I thought he was going to attack.” Tommy said.
“Who Robbie?” Pink Ranger turned toward Tommy, “He’s too afraid of Rita to do that. See Rita needs her slaves.” She made her Power Bow disappear.
“By the way,” she said, “how do you know who I am?”
“You are never going to believe this,” Tommy said, “but you and I are madly in love.”
Robert Beltan strode purposely into Lord Zedd’s throne room. The Green Ranger was dressed in a green silk shirt and black pats. A red cloak hung from his shoulders. Stopping before Zedd’s throne room he knelt.
“Report.” Zedd ordered.
“Pink Ranger was in the city of Angel Grove tonight.” Robbie reported, “Also I encountered a human named Tommy Oliver who claimed to be a Power Ranger. He was out after curfew.”
Zedd nodded, “Was he a Ranger?”
Robbie tried not to shudder. Truth was the Lord of Evil creeped him out. Point of fact, this entire palace creeped him out. He much preferred the old palace that Rita had built with its balconies and the ornate spinning globe at the top. This one seemed more like Dracula’s castle with towers and gargoyles. Still he was highly favored by Rita’s husband.
“No,” He sneered, “he was incapable of morphing. Although, he did recognize the Pink Ranger. He even called her by name.”
“Interesting.” Zedd said, “Goldar, Scorpina come here!”
A beautiful armor clad oriental woman entered the room. Behind her came a humanoid baboon with blue fur, dressed in golden armor and sporting huge black wings. They bowed before Zedd.
“What can you tell me a bout Tommy Oliver?” Zedd asked them.
“That is difficult sire.” Goldar said his wings twitching, “Tommy is a popular given name amongst the humans and Oliver is a common surname. There are several Olivers.”
“What does he look like?” Scorpina asked.
“He has long dark hair.” Robbie said, “He is a teenager. Um, he appears to have both European and Native American ancestry. Oh and he wore white.”
“And he called Pink Ranger by name.” Zedd said.
“No such person.” Goldar informed them.
“Are you calling me a liar?” Robbie asked, his hand reaching for his morpher.
“No.” Goldar replied, “I’m just saying this human is unknown to me. I know the vast majority of them.”
“All six billion?” Robbie raised an eyebrow.
“Yes.” Scorpina said, “Does that surprise you? It is possible with our power.”
Robbie nodded, “Okay, but couldn’t you have missed at least one human?”
“Perhaps.” She replied, “But not one who knows the Rangers so well.”
Robbie nodded. That had disturbed him as well. Truth was his encounter with the human and the Pink Ranger had been rather odd.
“So now what?” He asked.
“Now nothing.” Lord Zedd said, “We go forward with our plans. Soon we will crush the Rangers’ resistance and no human is going to stop us!”
He threw his head back and laughed. After a second he stopped.
“Well,” He said, “laugh!”
His hench-people began to laugh with him.
: Kimberly Hart stared at Tommy. The young man’s story bordered on the ludicrous. According to him Rita and Zedd didn’t rule the world. The Rangers had been able to defeat them or at least keep them at bay. He even claimed to have been Green Ranger at some point. It seemed that he had made a wish that had changed everything.
“Truth is,” He said, “I fully expected to find the world better off without me. Guess I was wrong.”
“You’re pathetic.” A voice from the corner said.
They were standing in the abandoned Youth Center. Since it’s abandonment in the wake of Rita’s forces it had served as the de-facto headquarters of the Power Rangers.
Jason Scott stepped out of the Shadows. He was wearing red pants and no shirt. His left eye was missing and his right one had a scar running down from the lower eyelid to his chin.
“Jason!” Tommy yelled in delight and hugged him, “You’re okay here. Guess you never became the Gold Ranger. This is great!” He stopped, “Wait a sec. How am I pathetic?”
“Way I figure it,” Jason said, “you’re either delusional, in which case you need help, or you’re telling the truth. So you’re pathetic. Of course the world needs you. Everyone matters.”
“Where’re Rocky and Zack?” Kim asked.
“Patrolling Asia.” Jason replied sitting on the Juice Bar’s counter, “Seems Finster’s et up one of his clinics there. They’re trying to find it.”
“See Finster’s a scientist.” Kim told Tommy, “Except he’s evil. So he likes to experiment on humans.”
“That’s odd.” Tommy murmured.
“What’s that?” Jason asked.
“Were I come from Finster’s a spy.” Tommy said, “He works for me, only no one knows ‘cept maybe Zordon and I’m not sure about that.”
Jason shrugged. The leader of the Power Rangers didn’t trust this guy. He knew too much even for a total stranger.
“Wait here.” He told Tommy, “Can we speak alone, Kim?”
They went into one of the store rooms. As soon as the door clicked shut, Jason leaned against it.
“I don’t like it.” He said, “He knows too much. Plus, I don’t like the way he looks at you.”
She kissed him “Jealous?”
“Not really.” He said returning her kiss, “I know you’re faithful. What concerns me is that you’re very attractive to the bad guys. This might be another case in point.”
“Oh come on.” Kimberly said, “Jut because Robbie and Lord Zedd both want to date me doesn’t mean I’m a villain magnet.”
Before Jason could respond his communicator went off.
“Yes Alpha.” He spoke into it.
“Dragonzord is headed toward us.” Alpha informed them, “Also I’ve finished my scan of the Montrossse sector.” Still no sign of Zordon.”
“Understood.” Jason said, “We’ll take care of the Dragonzord.”
“Are you sure?” Alpha asked, “The battle vehicles we built haven’t been tested yet.”
“I’m sure.” Jason replied, “Oh and Alpha, put the stranger in a force field. It’s Morphin’ Time!”
Kimberly: “Pterodactyl.”
Jason: “Tyrannosaurus.”
Zack Taylor sighed when his communicator went off.
“Yeah?” He said.
“Kim and I are engaging the Dragonzord.” Jason’s voice said, “Consider yourselves on standby.”
“Understood.” Zack responded, “We’ll keep looking for Finster’s lab.”
He signed off. He and Rocky DeSantos were standing in Tokyo. Or rather, they were standing in the ruins of Tokyo. A year before, the Japanese had rebelled and Lord Zedd had punished them by setting off the nearby volcano, Mt. Fuji.
“He’s a bit militaristic isn’t he?” Rocky asked.
“Who Jason?” Zack asked, “He has to be. He is the leader of the Resistance after all.”
“I wonder what people would do if they found out the Rangers were a bunch of teenagers.” Rocky commented.
Zack grinned at this. Despite only knowing the Blue Ranger for six months he felt like they were brothers. His smile faltered as he remembered how Rocky had joined them. A fatally wounded Billy Cranston had passed his morpher to Rocky. He’d also extracted a promise. That Rocky what kill the evil Scorpina or die trying.
The scanner Rocky was holding let out a beep. The Blue Ranger gestured at the burnt-out shell of what had once been a school.
“There’s something in there.” He said, “And it ain’t human.”
“Got that right.” Finster said, “Guess you guys found us.”
“Us?” Rocky asked, “I only see you dog boy.”
Finster gestured and a squad of Zedd’s putties appeared behind him.
“You had to ask.” Zack commented, “It’s Morphin’ Time!”
Zack: “Mastodon.”
Rocky: “Triceratops.”
Tommy hit the force field yet again. And yet again he got zapped for his troubles. He’d been walking around the abandoned Youth Center when the force field had appeared and Alpha 5 had stepped out. Tommy was beginning to wonder what it was with the people in this universe and stepping out of the shadows!
No amount of talking seemed to convince the robot that it was safe to set him free. Alpha claimed he was “under orders.” So, Tommy had settled down to wait, but, not without trying to test the force-field’s strength.
“Why aren’t you in the Command Center?” Tommy asked, “Or the Power Chamber?”
“Rita wasted no time destroying them after she defeated the Rangers.” Alpha told him, “We managed to move some of the equipment to the Youth Center’s basement.”
“And Zordon?” Tommy asked.
“Green Ranger severed his connection with the Command Center.” Alpha said, “We do have his plasma tube though.”
A moment later there was a flash of green light. When it cleared a young man with short blonde hair and green eyes appeared in the room.
“Speak of the devil.” Alpha commented, “I thought you were controlling the Dragonzord.”
“I lent in to Goldar,” Robbie said, “So I could check this place out.”
He turned to Tommy, “I’m Robert Beltan, Robbie for short.”
Tommy held his hands out and stood straight in the force-field.
“You’re under a spell.” He said.
“Actually, I’m not.” Robbie told him.
“Say what?” Tommy was admittedly confused.
“He volunteered to be Green Ranger.” Alpha explained, “He’s one of the worst examples of humanity I’ve discovered.”
“I do try.” Robbie sneered.
“Alpha let me out of this force-field.” Tommy hissed.
“Something’s wrong.” Red Ranger said from the cockpit of his battle vehicle, “The Green Ranger’s not piloting that Zord.”
“Of course not.” Pink Ranger replied, “That’s Goldar with the Dragon Dagger.”
Their battle vehicles resembled nothing more than giant tanks. The main cannon fired powerful plasma surges. It was these weapons the two Rangers were using against Dragonzord.
Unfortunately, the silver and green Zord didn’t seem to be effected much by the plasma cannons. It just kept coming.
“Switch to missile mode.” Red Ranger ordered.
“Switching to missile mode.” Pink Ranger responded.
Missile launchers rose from the battle vehicles.
“Fire your missiles first.” Red Ranger ordered.
The pink battle vehicle let out a barrage of missiles at the Dragonzord. The Dragonzord staggered backwards.
“Nice shot.” Red Ranger said.
Then, the red battle vehicle fired its missiles. The Dragonzord fell onto its side with a resounding clang.
Black and Blue Rangers were making quick work of defeating the putties. Their method was simple. Just hit the Z on each putty’s chest. Then it would explode.
After all the putties had vanished, they turned to Finster.
“Well, okay,” Finster said, “let’s fight. But first could you tell Tommy to destroy the lamp.”
“What lamp?” Black Ranger asked, “And who’s Tommy?”
“You’ll understand.” Finster said.
Then, he attacked.
Tommy grinned as the force-field dropped. He quickly placed himself between Alpha and Robbie.
Robbie produced his morpher and prepared to call on his powers. Tommy swiftly kicked it out of his hands and sent it flying across the room. Then, he aimed a punch for Robbie’s sternum. Robbie quickly blocked it and countered with a kick to Tommy’s groin. Tommy blocked it and kicked Robbie’s chest. The Green Ranger doubled over in pain. Then he came up swinging. His left fist caught Tommy in his chin knocking Tommy’s head back and his right fist slammed into Tommy’s sternum.
Dragonzord swiftly climbed to its feet as Goldar played the Dragon flute. Then its arms retracted, revealing its missile launchers. It fired. The two Battle Vehicles were driven backwards by the missiles.
“This isn’t working.” Pink Ranger said.
“No it’s not.” Red Ranger replied then activated his communicator, “Come in Zack.”
“I’m sort of busy.” Black Ranger said into his communicator
“We need the other Battle Vehicles.” Red Ranger replied.
“Go!” Finster said, pushing Blue Ranger away, “You’ll need this.”
Blue Ranger caught the object in midair, “Yellow Ranger’s Power Coin? Why?”
“Because I’m part of the resistance, moron.” Finster told him, “Now go!”
The Black and Blue Rangers teleported out.
Tommy felt all the air go out of his body. Reacting quickly Robbie dove for his morpher.
“No!” Tommy yelled.
“Yes.” Robbie said, picking up the morpher.
Robbie: “Dragonzord!”
“So now you die.’ Green Ranger said.
He charged. He’d gotten halfway across the room when Blue Ranger slammed into him.
“What the...” He spun to face this new opponent.
“Pick on someone else.” Blue Ranger said, “You Tommy?”
“Yeah.” Tommy replied.
“Finster says to destroy the lamp.” Blue Ranger said, “Oh catch.”
Tommy caught the Power Coin in midair and examined it.
“Rules just changed Robbie.” He said.
Tommy: “Saber-Tooth Tiger!”
“Hey no fair!” Green Ranger complained, “The Yellow Ranger’s supposed to be a girl!”
“I’m wearing drag today.” Yellow Ranger told him.
The two Rangers went at it again. This time they moved faster than normal humans. Their punches and kicks connected on a regular basis, but, to no avail.
“Power Daggers!” Yellow Ranger called.
He twirled the daggers in his hands then threw them. Green Ranger lost his balance and fell to the ground.
“I’ll be back Tommy!” He said and teleported out.
“Wuss.” Yellow Ranger said.
“Yeah.” Blue Ranger said, “Let’s go help the others.”
When the Blue, Black, and Yellow Rangers appeared they found the Red and Pink Battle Vehicles in dire straits. The Red Battle Vehicle was on its side and the Pink Battle Vehicle was backed down a back alley, firing desperately at Dragonzord.
“Let’s give them a hand.” Yellow ranger said.
The three Rangers called on their Battle Vehicles.
“Sorry old pal.” Yellow Ranger said.
He fired his missiles at the Dragonzord forcing it to back up and allow Pink Ranger to escape. Meanwhile, the Black Battle Vehicle pushed against the Red Battle Vehicle knocking it upright.
“Thanks.” Red Ranger said, “Battleforce Megazord activate.”
The five Battle Vehicles came together to form a Megazord. Instead of a sword it carried a large machine gun. It faced the Dragonzord.
“Cool!” Yellow Ranger said.
“I’m impressed too.” Red Ranger said, “Remind me to thank Alpha.”
On the ground Goldar had returned the Dragon Dagger to Green Ranger. Green Ranger played it.
The Dragonzord spun around. The end of its tail spun like a drill as it aimed for Megazord. Megazord’s huge fist blocked the tail and it used its other arm to knock Dragonzord away.
“Fire!” The Rangers called.
The Megazord lifted its machine gun and fired. The Dragonzord spun around, fell down, and blew up.
“Let’s get out of here.” Goldar said.
Then he and Green Ranger teleported away.
“I’m sorry bro.” Jason told Tommy, “I should have given you the benefit of the doubt.”
“I would have done the same in your place.” Tommy replied.
The Rangers were standing in the Youth Center celebrating the destruction of the Dragonzord. The team knew there were other battles ahead but a major enemy weapon had been destroyed.
“What are you going to do know?” Kimberly asked Tommy.
“I guess I’m stuck here.” He replied, “At least until that genie shows up.”
There was a knock on the door. Jason, Kim, Zack, and Rocky all took up fighting stances.
“Does anyone know you’re here?” Tommy asked.
“No.” Jason replied tersely.
“Who is it?” Tommy called.
“I’ll give you a hint.” A voice called, “You still have two wishes.”
Tommy rushed outside. Waiting in the rundown parking lot was Zedd’s genie.
“You jerk!” Tommy growled, “This wish sucks.”
“No recalls.” The genie told him after placing the lamp on the ground.
Tommy dove for the lamp. The genie tried to grab it first but Tommy got hold of it.
“Put that down.” The genie demanded.
“What this?” Tommy asked and dropped the lamp.
It shattered. Reality shifted around Tommy and everything went black.
When his head cleared Tommy was lying on the floor of his bedroom. The first thing he noticed was the throbbing pain in his legs.
He pulled himself back onto his bed and checked himself over. He seemed fine.
“Guess I’m home.” He said, “I should go.”
He rose to his feet, “It’s Morphin’ Time!”
Tommy: “White Element Power!”
Red Zeo flipped his Zeo saber over his head as Razor charged. He braced himself. When the metallic beast got too close, David Trueheart whipped the sword around and sliced off the monster’s arm blade.
“Hey.” Razor complained, “You can’t too that.”
“Actually,” Pink Ranger told him, “he can.”
Here I come to wreck the day.” Came the voice of Orbus, the Machine Empire’s ball monster.
Receiving a boost of energy from Orbus, Razor grew to massive sized.
“We need Zeo Zord power now!” The Zeos called.
Blue Ranger was frantically trying to keep Katzila at bay. The reptilian cat monster had him backed against a tree and was thoroughly pummeling him. His suit had several scratches on it were Katzila had used its claws.
The other Element Rangers were busy with the Tengas. Being short two Rangers was having a detrimental effect on the team. They were losing.
“Hey!” A voice called, “Hands of my friends!”
Katzila turned just in time for White Ranger’s kick to connect with its face. The monster flew backwards, narrowly missed Blue Ranger, and slammed into the tree!
“Glad to be here Katzila.” White Ranger said, “I’m back and better than ever. Fire!”
Flames arced from White Ranger’s hands and slammed into Katzila.
“Rrow!!” The beast yowled and then it hissed at White Ranger.
“Glad you’re back.” Black Ranger said.
“Glad to be back.” White Ranger replied, “Shall we finish this?”
“All right!” The others responded.
“Earth!” Black Ranger called, causing the earth beneath Katzila to shake.
The cat beast began to charge.
“Fire!” White Ranger called, releasing his fire blasts.
Katzila kept coming.
“Wind!” Yellow Ranger called causing a torrent of wind to pommel Katzila.
“Water!” Blue Ranger called causing the ground water to come out and trench the cat.
Katzila started sputtering. He hissed, he growled. He was seriously pissed.
“Heart!” Pink Ranger called.
Katzila grabbed his head, “Get out!”
Baron Von Ize slammed his fist against a button a control panel. The button was marked, Growth.
The Zeo Megazord was making swift work of Razor. The monster couldn’t seem to get an attack in edgewise. Despite being covered in large blades it wasn’t a very good monster. Its basic strategy was to charge the Megazord with its arm blades swinging. Every time it got close the Rangers lifted the Megazord’s sword and sent it flying. Finally, Gold Ranger decided they’d had enough.
“I call on Pyramidus!” He called.
The Pyramid zord appeared. Once Gold Ranger had boarded he drove the zord right at the monster!
Hey!” Katzila complained, “You’re violating traffic laws.”
He turned and actually charged at Pyramidus. Gold Ranger took the zord and rammed it right into the monster which, despite its massive size, was still dwarfed by the pyramid. Pyramidus simply ran over the monster.
Razor blew up.
“Cool!” Green Zeo approved, “Guess we win!”
“Black Elephant Zord!” Black Ranger called.
The earth opened up and the Elephant Zord rose from the crack.
“Yellow Hawk Zord!” Yellow Ranger called.
A cloud transformed into the high flying Hawk Zord.
“Blue Dolphin Zord!” Blue Ranger called.
The Dolphin Zord rose out of the ocean.
“Pink Cat Zord!” Pink Ranger called.
A small cat nearby turned into the giant Cat Zord.
“White Element Zord.” White Ranger called.
The White Element Zord, which resembled a large F-16 came flying out performed a barrel roll and strafed the ground.
“Red Fire Dragon!” The Rangers called.
The Fire Dragon Zord came out of the crater of a volcano!
“Begin Megazord sequence.” White Ranger ordered.
The Fire Dragon’s massive wings retracted into its body as did its legs. Its head lowered and folded into its chest. Its tail split apart to form two legs.
The Elephant Zord transformed into a head and placed itself where the Fire Dragon’s head had been.
The Hawk Zord folded in and split apart to form the arms.
The Dolphin and Cat Zords turned into body armor for the Zord’s legs.
“Element Megazord online!” The Rangers called.
“Here I come! Zord transformation activated.” White Ranger called.
The White Element Zord attached itself to the back of the Megazord attaching to a slot so only the wings were showing.
“Winged Element Megazord Online!” The Rangers called.
“Nice!” Katzila said, “What do you for an encore?”
“This!” White Ranger said and the Megazord punched Katzila in the face.
The cat monster hissed and spit. Its spit was green and caused sparks to fly when it hit the Megazord.
“Acid?” White Ranger asked, “Did you forget to tell me something guys?”
“He didn’t do that before.” Yellow Ranger said.
Katzila clawed at the Megazord sending more sparks flying.
“Enough!” Black Ranger said, “Elemental Power Saber now!”
The Megazord’s sword appeared in its hands. It twirled the Power Saber and took a fighting stance!
Katzila charged.
“Elemental Blast!” The Rangers called.
The Saber glowed as the Megazord swung it forward. A wave of pure white energy arced out and hit Katzila. The cat monster screeched and blew up!
“Bad kitty!” Pink Ranger said.
A clapping sound came from the ground. Upon seeing who it was White Ranger ejected himself from the Megazord.
“I knew you’d be back.” He informed the genie.
“Yes White Ranger.” The genie said, “We have unfinished business.”
“Tommy,” Zordon’s voice said, “you still get your last two wishes. But you can’t wish for anything for yourself. That makes him stronger.”
“Okay.” White Ranger said pushing his legs out of his mind, “I wish Jason was perfectly healthy.”
“Granted.” The genie said.
“And I wish you would lose all your power.” White Ranger said,
“You can’t.” The genie said, “I told you it’s against the rules.”
“Actually you said I couldn’t wish you free.” White Ranger said, “I haven’t done that.”
“Granted.” The genie said reluctantly.
A bright light blinded White Ranger. When it cleared a large dark skinned man stood where the genie had been.
“It’s been six months since I was mortal,” He said, “guess I’ll have to get used to it.”
He turned to leave then stopped.
“I’ll see you around White Ranger.” He said and left.
“You didn’t destroy him.” Blue Ranger said walking up.
“Yea, he actually did me a favor.” White Ranger replied.
“Toss me a soda bro’.” Tommy said.
David tossed him a soda. All the Rangers, minus Jason, were sitting around Tommy’s living room. Tommy was telling them about his adventures in the genie’s alternate universe.
“That’s it.” He finished, “You know the rest.”
“I wonder if the genie really cured Jason.” Trini Kwan commented.
As if on cue the front door opened and a very healthy Jason walked in. The others started to hug him.
“You’re squishing me.” He said with a grin. They let him go, “It’s the oddest thing. I was as sick as a dog then, all of a sudden, I just got better.”
Tommy went over his story again for Jason. When he was done Jason’s eyes had widened.
“I’m sorry ‘bro.” He said, “I shouldn’t have said what I did.”
“It’s okay,” Tommy said, “you were hurting. I understand.”
“So we’re a team again?” Rocky asked, “Well, two teams anyway.”
“Yeah we’re a team again.” Tommy said raising his soda, “To the Power Rangers.”
“To the Power Rangers!” The others echoed.
“Never do that again,” Kimberly ordered, “wish yourself away like that I mean.”
“Sure thing.” Tommy said, kissing her.
It was an hour later and all the others had left. The two of them were watching a late movie.
“Tommy,” Kimberly said suddenly looking serious, “there’s something I need to ask you.”
